She aligned and recessed her daylit concrete basement into the site’s slopes to maximize her access, view, and sunshine. With its 4’ overhangs, central stair, and custom fireplace, it’s one of the Northwest’s earliest earth sheltered passively solar heated and cooled houses. Since purchasing it 31 years ago, the Lehns have made several updates and have plans for more
